Nellore: Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan has strongly condemned the derogatory remarks made by former YSRCP MLA Nallapureddy Prasannakumar Reddy targeting Kovur MLA Vemireddy Prashanthi Reddy, calling the comments “seriously objectionable” and vowing legal action under existing laws.
Pawan pointed out a troubling pattern of demeaning statements directed at women by some political leaders, stating that this has become a “habit” for certain individuals.
He stressed that personal attacks on a female representative are unacceptable and urged all supporters of democracy and gender equality to denounce such behaviour. He also encouraged the public to remain alert to the mindset of certain YSRCP leaders towards women.
The MLA couple has reportedly asked the police to take strict action against the former MLA. Urban Development Minister P. Narayana and Nellore Rural MLA Kotamreddy Sridhar Reddy echoed these sentiments and condemned Prasannakumar Reddy’s comments.
