VIJAYAWADA: Deputy Chief Minister and Jana Sena Party president K Pawan Kalyan on Friday urged Jana Sena MLAs to ensure that their tenure “leaves a lasting imprint on the history of their constituencies” through visible development and responsive governance.
Holding one-on-one meetings with nine party legislators, Pawan Kalyan stressed the need for elected representatives to remain constantly accessible to the public and give top priority to resolving grievances.
Development works, he said, must be accelerated by keeping present and future needs in view, while ensuring the economic strengthening of every constituency.
The meetings focused on the implementation of welfare schemes, progress of ongoing projects and development initiatives undertaken over the past one-and-a-half years. Legislators briefed the deputy CM on constituency-specific issues, public representations, future plans and pending proposals.
Discussions were also held on filling nominated posts.

The Deputy CM asked leaders to strengthen party activities, maintain constant engagement with Jana Sainiks and Veera Mahilas, uphold coalition spirit and gear up for the forthcoming local body elections. For party-building in the Machilipatnam Parliamentary segment, he suggested adopting the ‘Pithapuram formula’.
Palakonda MLA Nimmaka Jayakrishna sought funds for modernisation of the Thotapalli project, expansion of Palakonda main road, lift irrigation schemes, a dumping yard, new bus stand at Veeraghattam, a mini cricket stadium, and speedy completion of the Seethampeta multi-speciality hospital with upgradation as a medical college.
Nellimarla MLA Lokam Naga Madhavi pressed for completion of the Taraka Rama Teertha Sagar project, development of a nano park, AI City, fishing harbour and Jal Jeevan Mission funds for safe drinking water.
Pendurthi MLA Panchakarla Ramesh Babu sought resolution of issues in Simhachalam temple villages, relocation of Tadi village affected by pharma pollution, tourism projects, R&B roads and higher NREGS allocations.
Elamanchili MLA Sundarapu Vijay Kumar highlighted rising kidney ailments and sought drinking water projects under Jal Jeevan Mission, besides completion of the Elamanchili–Gajuwaka road.
Kakinada Rural MLA Pantham Nanaji flagged non-receipt of 15th Finance Commission funds due to lack of local body elections and sought solutions, along with proposals for a cricket stadium, beach beautification, roads and drains.
P Gannavaram MLA Giddi Satyanarayana sought flood-control measures along the Godavari, completion of the Udumudi–Ganti Pedapudi bridge and development of spiritual tourism centres.
Razole MLA Deva Varaprasad sought dredging of Sankaraguptam drain to check seawater ingress, temple development, harbour construction and tourism promotion.
Visakhapatnam South MLA Vamsikrishna Srinivas sought removal of restrictions on Endowments lands, reconstruction of markets and beach road beautification.
Avanigadda MLA Mandali Buddha Prasad raised issues relating to farmers, irrigation management and promotion of Telugu. Pawan Kalyan assured them that all issues would be examined on priority.
