Vijayawada: A delegation on Tuesday submitted a representation to Andhra Pradesh Medical Services and Infrastructure Development Corporation (APMSIDC) managing director Saurabh Gaur, seeking an independent inquiry into the corporation’s recent procurement and administrative operations.

The delegation, comprising Prof. Dr Ambati Naga Radhakrishna Yadav, chairman of the YSRC NTR district doctors’ wing, Tanubuddi Chandrashekhar Reddy, chairman of the YSRC NTR district commerce wing, and YSRC state joint secretary Gunde Sundar Paul, met the managing director at Mangalagiri and raised a series of concerns.

The delegation alleged a possible data security breach involving the leakage of proprietary technical specifications related to a surgical equipment tender valued at nearly Rs 340 crore before its official release.

It also raised concerns over alleged discrepancies in cost valuation and quality assurance standards in the procurement of diagnostic equipment, besides procedural delays in clearing vendor bills and infrastructure contracts.

The delegation stated that APMSIDC plays a key role in the state's public healthcare system and argued that any operational lapses could affect market competitiveness and public confidence.

Seeking a transparent inquiry, the delegation urged the managing director to order an independent probe and make its findings public.

The members said prompt action would help strengthen accountability and reinforce confidence in the state's healthcare procurement system.
