Palla Vows Transparent Internal Polls, New District Chiefs Soon
Palla revealed that 25 district presidents would be appointed across Andhra Pradesh as part of the party’s organisational strengthening efforts.
Visakhapatnam: Telugu Desam (TD) State President Palla Srinivasa Rao announced that all internal elections within the party will be conducted with complete transparency. Addressing a press conference at the TD office in Visakhapatnam district, he emphasised that individuals from diverse backgrounds would be encouraged to participate, with candidates chosen based on their commitment to the party’s values and principles.
Palla further revealed that 25 district presidents would be appointed across Andhra Pradesh as part of the party’s organisational strengthening efforts.
Joining the briefing, irrigation minister Nimmala Ramanaidu reaffirmed the TD’s commitment to democratic processes, stating that transparency would be ensured from the ward president level all the way to the national leadership. He contrasted this with the YSRC’s past decision to remove Y.S. Vijayamma from the presidency during a plenary session.
Ramanaidu also noted that TD elections are held every two years through democratic procedures and assured that all candidate-related requests and recommendations would be duly considered.
