The victim, Eranki Veeravenkata Satyaratnam, lodged a report with the Arilova crime police station, and sub-inspector A. Hari Krishna investigated the case and filed a charge sheet.

Visakhapatnam:Chief judicial magistrate M Pradeep Kumar on Friday convicted Nunela Krishna, also known as Potti Krishna or Chevudu Krishna (41), a resident of Malkapuram in Visakhapatnam, to undergo one year of rigorous imprisonment and slapped a fine of Rs 3,000 (in case of default, one month of imprisonment) for breaking into a house and stealing away gold ornaments.

According to the prosecution, on February 7 this year, the victim and her husband went to Vijayawada to their son's house, and after one week, they returned to find her house was broken into and gold ornaments stolen.

The victim, Eranki Veeravenkata Satyaratnam, lodged a report with the Arilova crime police station, and sub-inspector A. Hari Krishna investigated the case and filed a charge sheet. Senior assistant public prosecutor Mylapilli Adinarayana proved the guilt beyond reasonable doubt under Section 317(2) Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita 2023.
