NUDA To Crack Down on Unauthorised Layouts in Nellore

TIRUPATI: The Nellore Urban Development Authority (NUDA) has decided to intensify action against unauthorised layouts developed without the required approvals within its jurisdiction.
NUDA chairman Kotamreddy Srinivasulu Reddy on Thursday directed officials to prepare details of layouts that have come up without permission and take stringent action against those violating the prescribed regulations. He said unauthorised layouts should be demolished wherever required and ruled out any leniency in dealing with such developments.
The directions were issued during a review meeting at the NUDA office on the status of approved layouts, unauthorised layouts and applications received under the Layout Regularisation Scheme (LRS).
The chairman asked officials to focus on identifying unauthorised layouts and initiate action against them without delay. He also instructed them to examine LRS applications strictly according to the rules and expedite the disposal of applications that meet the eligibility criteria.
Srinivasulu Reddy stressed the need to educate the public about the LRS and the risks involved in purchasing plots in unauthorised layouts. He advised prospective buyers to verify the NUDA approval status of a layout before entering into any transaction. He directed officials to give equal attention to enforcement against illegal layouts and the speedy processing of eligible LRS applications.
