NTR Varsity to Institute Annual Gold Medal for Topper in DM Nephrology
NTR University of Health Sciences will award an annual gold medal to the DM nephrology topper following a ₹10-lakh donation by Dr N. Ammanna.
The NTR University of Health Sciences is to institute an annual gold medal for the topper in DM nephrology.
University vice chancellor Dr P. Chandrasekhar said that the gold medal would be awarded annually under the title ‘Dr Ammanna-AP Society of Nephrology Gold Medal’ to the student who secured the highest academic distinction in DM nephrology across the university.
Earlier Dr N. Ammanna donated `10 lakh to the university for instituting the annual gold medal in DM nephrology.
The VC said that the initiative was aimed at promoting academic excellence, fostering healthy competition among students pursuing super-speciality medical education and to recognise outstanding academic performance. He, along with registrar Dr T. Sai Sudheer, thanked Dr Ammanna for her support.
