Nellore: The Rottela panduga commenced on a grand note at the historic Barashahid Dargah in the city, drawing thousands of devotees from across the country and even abroad. The five-day festival is witnessing an overwhelming turnout of pilgrims offering ‘Roti of their wishes’ as part of the age-old tradition.
Devotees are also taking holy dips in the sacred Golden Pond as part of the rituals. To ensure the smooth conduct of the festival, the state government has made elaborate arrangements, including tents, safe drinking water, and free meals for the visiting devotees.
The dargah premises are buzzing with spiritual fervor and activity. District Collector, SP, and other senior officials are closely monitoring the arrangements to ensure a hassle-free experience for the pilgrims.
