TIRUPATI: A retired teacher, his wife and their son were found dead at their residence in Duvvuru village of Sangam mandal in Nellore district on Monday.

The deceased were identified as Madhusudhan Rao, 65, his wife Ratnavali, 50, and their 26-year-old son Sai Sukruth.

Police said a note was recovered from the house stating that no one should be held responsible for their deaths. CCTV footage from the residence is also being examined as part of the investigation.

According to police, Madhusudhan Rao had made arrangements related to the family’s affairs before the incident. The note also referred to the transfer of certain properties to relatives and charitable purposes.

Neighbours said the family had been concerned about the son’s career prospects. The family had earlier lived in Hyderabad while Sai Sukruth was seeking employment. He had recently joined a software company in Tirupati but was no longer working there, according to local residents.

Sangam circle inspector Srinivasulu Reddy said a case has been registered and an investigation is underway.
