Nellore Police Trace Suspects In Attempted Murder Case

NELLORE: Nellore district police traced and apprehended the suspects within hours of an alleged attempted murder in the Nawabpeta police station limits on Thursday, according to police.
Pradeep and his friend were attacked by unidentified persons in the afternoon. Police said the attackers allegedly threw chilli powder into their eyes before attempting to assault them.
Following the incident, Nellore SP Dr Ajitha Vejendla, additional SP CH Soujanya and Town ASP Deeksha directed senior officers to launch an immediate investigation.
Nawabpeta circle inspector Venu Gopal Reddy, Vedayapalem circle inspector Koteswara Rao, Balaji Nagar circle inspector Sambasiva Rao and Dargamitta circle inspector Kalyan Raj formed teams to trace the suspects.
The police teams apprehended the accused within a few hours of the incident, police said.
The detection of the case within hours drew appreciation from local residents, who praised the district police for their response and investigation.
