Nellore Police Conduct Cordon and Search Operations
In Upparapalem, the operation was carried out under the supervision of Nellore Town SDPO Deeksha, with about 60 police personnel participating. Police seized 20 two-wheelers without valid documents.
Nellore: Nellore district police conducted cordon and search operations at Upparapalem (Santapet PS limits), Krishnapuram (Chillakur PS limits), and Pamulaveedhi (Atmakur PS limits) on Thursday as part of efforts to curb anti-social activities and strengthen public confidence in the police system.
In Upparapalem, the operation was carried out under the supervision of Nellore Town SDPO Deeksha, with about 60 police personnel participating. Police seized 20 two-wheelers without valid documents.
In Krishnapuram, under the supervision of Gudur SDPO Ms. Geetha Kumari, around 30 personnel conducted searches in 150 houses and seized four undocumented motorcycles.
In Pamulaveedhi, Atmakur, the operation was conducted under the supervision of Atmakur SDPO Venugopal, with about 45 police personnel. During the search, police seized 31 motorcycles and five autos without proper documents and verified suspects, including fingerprint collection.
Police officials stated that the operations aimed at crime prevention, maintenance of law and order, identification of absconding offenders, and detection of illegal activities such as ganja, stolen property, illegal liquor, arms, explosives, narcotics, and undocumented vehicles. The public was urged to cooperate with the police and report any suspicious activities to the local police or by dialling 112/100.
