Nellore Collector Himanshu Shukla Receives Governor’s Gold Medal
Nellore Collector Himanshu Shukla received the Governor’s gold medal for the IRCS Nellore branch’s achievements in blood donation and humanitarian services.
Nellore district collector Himanshu Shukla was honoured with the Governor’s gold medal in recognition of the services and achievements of the Indian Red Cross Society (IRCS), Nellore district branch.
Governor S. Abdul Nazeer presented the medal to Shukla at the annual general meeting of the IRCS Andhra Pradesh branch at Tummalapalli Kalakshetram in Vijayawada on Monday.
The Nellore district branch has enrolled 2,097 life members and collected 15,747 units of blood through various blood donation camps, making the blood available to patients requiring emergency transfusions.
District officials, IRCS members and volunteers welcomed the recognition, saying the award acknowledged the branch’s efforts to expand blood donation activities, increase life membership and strengthen its humanitarian services.
