Navy Eyes Strategic Partnership With HSL

Visakhapatnam:Deputy Chief of Naval Staff Tarun Sobti visited Hindustan Shipyard Limited (HSL) on Monday and reviewed its ongoing projects, modernisation efforts and future capabilities.

HSL chairman and managing director Rear Admiral Chandrasekharan Raghuram briefed the Deputy Chief of Naval Staff on the shipyard's recent achievements, infrastructure and key projects.

Congratulating HSL on its transformation, Tarun Sobti described the shipyard as a trusted partner of the Indian Navy and said it would play a vital role in India's growing maritime sector.

He said the Navy intended to work with HSL as a strategic partner rather than merely as a shipbuilding yard, stressing that the collaboration should extend beyond ship construction to include full life-cycle support, upgrades and mid-life modernisation of naval platforms.
