National Seminar on Sri Vaishnava Contributions in Tirupati From Aug 17
Twenty-five researchers and scholars from Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Tamil Nadu, and Karnataka will participate and present their research papers.
Tirupati:A three-day national seminar on spiritual contributions of Sri Vaishnava Acharyas will be held at Annamacharya Kalamandiram in Tirupati from August 17 to August 19.
The seminar is being organised under the Alwar Divya Prabandha Project of the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD). It will focus on the lives and contributions of Sri Ramanuja, Acharya Pundarikaksha, Sri Govinda Bhattar (Embar), and Sri Dasarathi (Mudaliandan), and their role in propagating Visishtadvaita philosophy and preserving Sri Vaishnava temple traditions.

The seminar will begin at 10 a.m. on August 17 with Mangala Sasanam by Tirumala Pedda Jeeyar Swamiji and Chinna Jeeyar Swamiji. Sessions will be held from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. and from 2 p.m. to 5:45 pm on all three days.
According to the TTD, Acharya Pundarikaksha had played an important role in promoting the recitation of the Nalayira Divya Prabandham in Vaishnava Divya Desams. Sri Ramanuja is traditionally credited with systematising several worship practices and temple traditions at the Sri Venkateswara Swamy temple.
Embar helped propagate Ramanuja’s teachings and Visishtadvaita philosophy, while Mudaliandan served in the administration of Srirangam temple and worked to preserve the Sri Vaishnava tradition.
