VISAKHAPATNAM: The two-day ninth National Conference of Prison Officers will be held in Visakhapatnam on January 28 and 29, according to a release issued by the superintendent of Central Jail, Visakhapatnam, on Sunday.
The conference will bring together heads of prisons from all States and Union Territories in the rank of Director General and Inspector General to exchange knowledge, ideas and insights in the field of prisons and correctional services.
As many as 75 officers of DG and IG rank from various States and Union Territories and 55 senior prison officers from Andhra Pradesh are expected to participate in the two-day event, the release said.
