Nara Lokesh Courts South Korea’s Boo Young Group for AP Footwear Unit
Minister highlights investor-friendly policies; firm shows interest, explores ready-built sheds
Amaravati: Andhra Pradesh Minister Nara Lokesh continued his South Korea tour on its fourth day, holding discussions with representatives of Boo Young Group on setting up a footwear and components manufacturing unit in the state.
Lokesh met CEO and President Director Ryan Kang and Business Strategy and Planning Manager Millie Richardson, urging the company to invest in Andhra Pradesh’s growing industrial ecosystem.
He assured that the state offers single-window clearances, robust infrastructure in key industrial zones, and strong logistics connectivity. The minister also highlighted Andhra Pradesh’s investor-friendly policies and emphasis on speed of doing business.
Responding positively, Ryan Kang said the company is keen on establishing a footwear manufacturing and components unit in the state and is currently exploring options for ready-built industrial sheds. He added that Boo Young’s global network could help integrate Indian manufacturing with international supply chains.
