AP Govt Announces Free Electricity for Ganesh Pandals Across the State
Ahead of the festival, the Andhra Pradesh government has taken a key decision regarding power supply for the upcoming Ganesh Festival.
Amaravati: Ahead of the festival, the Andhra Pradesh government has taken a key decision regarding power supply for Ganesh Chaturthi festivities in the state. Minister Nara Lokesh announced that the government has decided to provide free electricity to Ganesh pandals across the state.
He shared this announcement on the social media platform 'X', stating that the government would supply free power to ensure the festival is celebrated successfully and with devotion. Nara Lokesh expressed his hope for the successful conduct of Vinayaka Chavithi celebrations organized by various groups across the state and prayed that Lord Vighneswara would shower His blessings upon all the people. He noted that the decision to provide free electricity to the pandals is part of the government's effort to offer necessary support for the grand celebration of the festival.
As per reports, the police department is giving a QR Code to the pandal committees, consisting of five members each, where all details of the pandals and the organisers’ names, etc., are uploaded.
Vinayaka Chavithi will be celebrated this year on Monday, September 14, 2026.
