Naidu to Inaugurate PanIIT Andhra Pradesh Summit on Oct. 3
The proposed centre would be PanIIT’s first such facility in India
VIJAYAWADA: Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu will inaugurate the PanIIT Andhra Pradesh Summit 2026 in Vijayawada on October 3, with the event focusing on innovation, DeepTech and technology-led growth under the Swarnandhra Vision 2047.
The summit, themed “Catalysing Innovation for Swarnandhra Vision 2047”, will be held at Novotel Vijayawada Varun. PanIIT Alumni India, the umbrella body representing more than five lakh alumni of all 23 IITs, expects over 500 delegates, including around 100 startup founders, 50 CEOs and 50 investors and venture capitalists, besides policymakers, academicians, technology experts and industry leaders from India and abroad.
The summit will focus on DeepTech, artificial intelligence and machine learning, MedTech, pharma and healthcare, oil and gas, green energy, semiconductors and data centres, quantum computing, defence and aerospace.
PanIIT Alumni India chairman Prabhat Kumar said the organisation was exploring a Centre of Excellence in Amaravati and had sought land from the state government. Discussions were under way and an MoU could be signed during the summit, he said. The proposed centre would be PanIIT’s first such facility in India.
PanIIT also plans to make the summit an annual event and position Amaravati as a leading DeepTech capital in India. Vice-chairman Amitabh Ranjan said innovation and research would be critical to future economic growth, noting that India spends around 0.65 per cent of its GDP on R&D.
Speakers also highlighted Andhra Pradesh’s strategic advantages, including the Kharagpur-Amaravati Greenfield Corridor, coastline and mineral resources.
