Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu continued his second-day tour of Kuppam constituency in Chittoor district on Saturday, with a focus on development and speedy resolution of public grievances.
A large number of locals and party supporters gathered to meet the Chief Minister during his visit. Naidu interacted warmly with residents, enquired about their well-being, and spent time listening to their concerns. Several people submitted petitions highlighting both personal and constituency-level issues, which the Chief Minister received and directed officials to address promptly.
As part of his tour, Naidu visited Nallagampalle village, where he inspected houses adopting innovative net-zero practices. He closely examined eco-friendly features such as rooftop solar systems, induction cooktops, terrace gardening, and rainwater harvesting mechanisms. Appreciating the initiative, he encouraged the adoption of sustainable practices in rural areas.
In a notable moment, the Chief Minister visited a villager’s home and interacted with the family. He enquired about the number of solar panels installed, their electricity generation, and whether it was sufficient for household needs. He also asked about the reduction in electricity bills. The family expressed happiness over the Chief Minister personally visiting their home and interacting with them.
Later, Naidu inaugurated a CT scan centre at the Kuppam Area Hospital and visited the Sanjeevani exhibition stall. He also interacted with patients undergoing treatment and reviewed the quality of medical services.
However, the Chief Minister expressed displeasure over poor sanitation within the hospital premises. Noticing garbage and unhygienic conditions, he pulled up the hospital superintendent and questioned the maintenance standards. He directed officials to immediately clear the waste and upgrade the facility into a model hospital at the earliest.
