Amaravati: Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu emphasized that government schemes must evolve in line with public needs and expectations. Speaking at a review meeting with ministers, secretaries, and heads of departments at the Secretariat, he said he has detailed records of the performance of every department.

The discussions focused on strategies to boost growth and the implementation roadmap for key programmes. Chandrababu instructed officials to regularly review all government schemes and initiatives to ensure effective delivery.
Highlighting past achievements, he noted, “For the first time in the country, we provided input subsidy to groundnut farmers in Anantapur. We explored Israeli technology to address drought conditions in the district. There was a time when cattle in Rayalaseema struggled even for fodder. We took steps to improve groundnut quality in Anantapur. Inspired by Anna Hazare and Rajendra Singh, we undertook water conservation measures, which have helped raise groundwater levels in Rayalaseema.”
He further added that groundwater levels reaching 3 meters would significantly reduce budget expenditure, and greater use of solar energy could bring down power demand. “We will not increase electricity tariffs this year. Andhra Pradesh remains the state with the highest number of industrial parks in the country,” the Chief Minister said.
