Naidu and Others Attend ‘At Home’ Function
Vijayawada: On the occasion of the 76th Republic Day, Governor of Andhra Pradesh Justice S. Abdul Nazeer and First Lady Sameera Nazeer hosted the ‘AT HOME’ function at Raj Bhavan lawns on Sunday. Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu, along with his wife N. Bhuvaneswari, Chief Justice of the High Court of Andhra Pradesh Justice Dheeraj Singh Thakur, and Deputy Chief Minister K. Pawan Kalyan, graced the event.
Other attendees included AP Legislative Council Deputy Chairman Zakia Khanam, AP Legislative Assembly Deputy Speaker K. Raghurama Krishnam Raju, ministers N. Lokesh, P. Narayana, K. Atchnnaidu, P. Keshav, S. Savitha, Kolusu Parthasarathy, and N. Manohar. MPs, MLAs, MLCs, Judges of the High Court of Andhra Pradesh, chief secretary K. Vijayanand, director general of police Ch. Dwaraka Tirumala Rao, All India Service officers, leaders of political parties, and other dignitaries, including Defence Service personnel, sportspersons, Padma awardees, media persons, freedom fighters, special invitees such as women sarpanches, merit students, and representatives of NGOs, were also present.
Earlier, Governor Abdul Nazeer toured the venue and greeted the guests at the ‘AT HOME’ function.
In a separate programme, Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu unfurled the national flag at his residence in Undavalli, Amaravati, on Sunday morning. He, along with his wife Bhuvaneswari, paid floral tributes to the portraits of Mahatma Gandhi and Dr B.R. Ambedkar.
