Vijayawada:Civil Supplies Minister Nadendla Manohar inaugurated a ‘special rice outlet’ at AP Bhavan in New Delhi on Monday for the benefit of the people from Andhra Pradesh settled in the national capital. They would get quality rice and essential commodities at low prices through this outlet.

Manohar told the media that the rice produced by farmers in AP was high-quality. “We would introduce several varieties of rice like KNM, BPT etc in addition to getting 64 varieties of quality products procured through National Cooperative Consumers’ Federation of India Ltd to be sold at the special outlet at subsidized rates,” he said.

The minister called on the NCCF managing director Anice Joseph Chandra in New Delhi and discussed supply of essential commodities, price control and other issues with him, “with the main objective to ensure the people get quality essential commodities at reasonable prices.”
