In addition, 1,140 lost mobile phones worth ₹2.28 crore were traced and returned to their owners.
She highlighted the expanding role of the district police’s social media wing, which now reaches over 54,000 followers on Facebook, 8,000 on Instagram, nearly 10,000 on X (formerly Twitter) and about 2,000 subscribers on YouTube, aiding awareness and real-time communication.
A court monitoring system introduced to track POCSO, rape, murder and other grave cases resulted in convictions in 25 major cases during 2025, including 13 life sentences. Convictions were secured in 15 POCSO and rape cases, eight murder cases and two attempted murder cases.
As part of preventive measures, 16 habitual offenders were detained under the PD Act. During the year, 34 NDPS cases were registered, leading to the seizure of 510.12 kg of ganja, 14 vehicles and the arrest of 102 accused. Special drone surveillance was deployed to monitor ganja hotspots.
