Mulumudi Bridge Opens, Ending 40-year Connectivity Issue

Nellore Rural MLA Kotamreddy Sridhar Reddy, district collector Himanshu Shukla and TD state spokesperson Kotamreddy Giridhar Reddy inaugurate the Mulumudi Kaluju bridge in Nellore Rural constituency on Sunday.

Nellore: A long-pending connectivity issue spanning nearly four decades came to an end on Sunday with the inauguration of the Mulumudi Kaluju bridge, constructed at a cost of `83 lakh, in Nellore Rural constituency.

District collector Himanshu Shukla, Nellore Rural MLA Kotamreddy Sridhar Reddy and TD state spokesperson Kotamreddy Giridhar Reddy inaugurated the bridge, which is expected to improve connectivity and transportation for local residents.

Speaking on the occasion, Kotamreddy Sridhar Reddy said the bridge had provided a permanent solution to a decades-old problem and reflected the pace of development in the constituency. He said works that had remained incomplete over the past 10 years were completed during the last two years with the support of Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu and the district administration.

Himanshu Shukla lauded the MLA for fulfilling his promise to complete the bridge within six months and assured full administrative support in resolving public issues.

The MLA also announced that the bridge across the Pottepalem Kaluju would be completed within the next two months.

TD leaders and party workers attended the inaugural programme.
