MP Calls For Widespread Oil Palm Cultivation

Putta Mahesh Kumar, an Eluru Lok Sabha member, stated that the scientists' research into using palm oil as an aircraft fuel was effective and that the results would bring about revolutionary changes soon.

Kakinada:Putta Mahesh Kumar, an Eluru Lok Sabha member, stated that the scientists' research into using palm oil as an aircraft fuel was effective and that the results would bring about revolutionary changes soon. Putta Mahesh and Denduluru MLA Chintamaneni Prabhakar attended Srikrishna Janmashthami celebrations in Chinachintalapudi village, Denduluru mandal, Eluru district, on Saturday.

Speaking on the occasion, the MP stated that palm oil will become an important component in aircraft fuel within the next 10-12 years, which will benefit farmers. He projected that there would be a tremendous demand for palm oil, and that the price of oil-palm per tonne may reach Rs 50,000 in the future, considerably benefiting farmers.

The MP urged farmers to grab this chance and grow oil palms on a massive scale.

He went on to say that 12 Railway Over Bridges (ROB) have been sanctioned under the Lok Sabha constituency, adding that once completed, the projects will benefit both farmers and the general public.
