Education Minister Nara Lokesh has fulfilled another promise he made during the Yuvagalam Padayatra (walkathon) by providing permanent house pattas to several families comprising 150 residents of Guddem Kottalu of Ashok Nagar in Kurnool town. (DC)

 Vijayawada: Education Minister Nara Lokesh has fulfilled another promise he made during the Yuvagalam Padayatra (walkathon) by providing permanent house pattas to several families comprising 150 residents of Guddem Kottalu of Ashok Nagar in Kurnool town.

Notably, these families were residing on government land for nearly four decades. Despite their repeated requests to public representatives to provide them with permanent pattas, the issue dragged at the government level. During the padayatra, Lokesh was petitioned by the Guddem Kottalu residents, led by then Kurnool constituency TDP in-charge, TG Bharat. He promised them of necessary action.

Fulfilling the promise, the alliance government issued orders allocating approximately one acre of land to these families. The residents of Guddem Kottalu expressed their thanks to the minister.
