Madhav Seeks Probe Into Destruction of Sivalingam at Draksharamam

Vijayawada: Andhra Pradesh BJP president P. V. N. Madhav on Tuesday called for a thorough inquiry into the destruction of the Kapaleswara Sivalingam near the Konneru at one of the Pancharama temples at Draksharamam in Konaseema district, which reportedly occurred in the early hours of the day.

In a statement issued here, Madhav expressed serious concern over the incident, noting that it took place on the auspicious occasion of Mukkoti Ekadasi. He urged the Endowments and Police departments to take immediate steps to strengthen security at religious sites, particularly the Pancharama temples.

The BJP leader called for a joint review by the concerned departments to ensure better protection of temples and to prevent the recurrence of such incidents in the future.
