This, after the Union home affairs ministry renewed the foreign contribution regulation act (FCRA) licence of the trust, it being a top NGO, after a yearlong push.
As part of his two-day visit in Satya Sai and Anantapur districts, Lokesh would visit the RDT hospital and pay tributes to the trust’s founder Ferror Grave in the hospital premises. He would also interact with the staff and patients and meet RDT programme director Manch Ferrer.
The minister had pleaded with the central government to positively respond to the year-long push for FCRA renewal for RDT, after protests and demands by all parties and organisations from the region to change the government stand. The Telugu Desam tries to highlight this effort through the minister’s visit to the RDT on Thursday.
Lokesh will also have a meeting with the party cadres in Anantapur the same day and will go to Puttaparthi to take part in the foundation laying ceremony for the aerospace defence industry there on May 15.
