VIJAYAWADA: Education and IT minister Nara Lokesh on Wednesday met senior Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) leader Ram Lal Ji at his residence in Undavalli. Ram Lal, who served as the BJP’s national general secretary (organisation) from 2006 to 2019 and has held several senior positions in the RSS, is currently touring the country as part of the organisation’s centenary celebrations.
Lokesh, accompanied by several state ministers, welcomed Ram Lal and discussed the RSS’s nationwide activities and its distinctive organisational practices. Ram Lal briefed the ministers on various programmes being undertaken by the RSS and its societal contributions.
Lokesh honoured Ram Lal with a traditional Mangalagiri shawl and presented him with a Children’s Constitution book. Ministers K. Atchannaidu, Kollu Ravindra, N.M.D. Farook, Vangalapudi Anitha, Gummidi Sandhya Rani, S. Savitha, Kondapalli Srinivas, Mandipalli Ram Prasad Reddy, Dola Bala Veeranjaneyaswami, Satyakumar Yadav, Anam Ram Narayana Reddy, Kolusu Parthasarathi and Vasamsetti Subhash were present.
