Lokesh Launches Developmental Works At Arts College, Nannaya University

RAJAMAHENDRAVARAM: Education Minister Nara Lokesh inaugurated several developmental projects at the Government Arts College (Autonomous) during his visit here on Friday.
Lokesh unveiled the logo of the Arts College at the main gate and inaugurated the school of commerce and management block. He inspected the science project ‘High-Glow Lab on Wheels’ and interacted with the students.
The minister also inaugurated the innovation and incubation hub and had a close look at the inventions made by the students. He appended his signature on the wall of fame.
He inaugurated the memorial of Vandemataram Movement in the college and opened the Vandemataram Park set up in memory of the Vandemataram Movement near Science Block in the college.
Lokesh inaugurated the Centre for International Studies and Research building and interacted with the international students at CV Raman International Studies and Research Centre.
Later, he visited the Araku Cafe centre and talked to the students for some time. He visited the library and examined the rare books kept there.
The college authorities presented a book titled ‘Some Meditations of Marcus Aurlius Antoninus Presentation’ to the minister.
The college’s main gate was built at a cost of ₹32 lakh with the financial support from the Rajamahendravaram Urban Development Authority, while a commerce block was developed at a cost of ₹70 lakh with support from old student Tirumala Rao.
The minister visited Adikavi Nannaya University and inaugurated three new blocks built at a cost of ₹34 crore. These were the examination building, college of engineering and school of commerce and management studies.
Collegiate education commissioner Narayana Bharat Gupta, joint collector Y Megha Swaroop, university vice chancellor Prof S Prasanna Sri, local MLA Adireddy Srinivas and MLC Somu Veerraju were present.
