Liquor Scam: SC Dismisses Pre-Arrest Bail Pleas of Vasudeva Reddy, Kasireddy

Vijayawada:The Supreme Court on Thursday dismissed the anticipatory bail pleas of former AP state beverages corporation managing director D Vasudeva Reddy and Kasireddy Rajasekhar Reddy in the AP liquor transport scam case.

The petitioners’ counsels informed the court that both the accused were in the custody of the enforcement directorate at present. Counsels claimed that a fresh case was registered in the liquor transport scam to harass their clients.

Counsels argued that when their clients were serving judicial custody in the first case booked against them, they were not taken into police custody for questioning. Later, a fresh case was booked and the aim was to take the two into custody for questioning.
