VIJAYAWADA: A wide spectrum of grievances, largely centered on alleged land irregularities, illegal registrations, and revenue record tampering, was brought to the fore during the Praja Vedika public grievance redressal programme at the TD central office on Saturday.

Labour, factories, boilers, and insurance medical services minister Vasamsetti Subhash and AP labour welfare board chairman Venkata Sivudu Yadav received the grievances and assured them that they would be resolved.

Rangababu of Undi in West Godavari district alleged that followers of former YSRC minister Jogi Ramesh, along with AP legislative council chairman Moshen Raju, were attempting to illegally register nearly 36 acres of his family land at the Undi sub-registrar's office, despite all pattadar passbooks, adangals, and revenue records clearly standing in his name. He accused officials of collusion and sought action. Similar complaints poured in from across the State.

Sunita from Naidupalem in Prakasam district said land allotted to her family in lieu of acquired burial ground land was forcibly occupied by YSRC leaders. Geetharani of Remalle in Krishna district flagged discrepancies in re-survey records that drastically reduced her inherited landholding.

Petitioners from Vizianagaram, Guntur, Kurnool and Markapur districts narrated instances of online land transfers without notice, wrongful issuance of passbooks, and attempts at illegal encroachment despite valid documents. Several others raised issues related to pensions, ration cards, housing and medical assistance, while some youth submitted resumes seeking employment.

Minister Subhash said that their government is conducting grievance programmes to address public grievances and assured the petitioners that their grievances would be examined and taken up with the concerned authorities for early resolution.
