Karnataka Reshuffles IPS Officers: Changes at Bengaluru, Ranges, Commissionerates
At the state level, Harishekaran P, Additional Director General of Police, Crimes and Technical Services, has been transferred and posted as ADGP, Directorate of Civil Rights Enforcement, in the upgraded post.
Mangaluru: The Karnataka government on Saturday effected a reshuffle of IPS officers, transferring several senior officers and changing the police leadership in key districts and commissionerates, including Belagavi, Hubballi-Dharwad, Koppal, Gadag and Chikkaballapur.
At the state level, Harishekaran P, Additional Director General of Police, Crimes and Technical Services, has been transferred and posted as ADGP, Directorate of Civil Rights Enforcement, in the upgraded post.
M Nanjundaswami, ADGP and Additional Director General of Police, Karnataka State Fire and Emergency Services and SDRF, has been transferred and posted as ADGP, Grievances and Human Rights, in the upgraded post. Devajyoti Ray, ADGP, Grievances and Human Rights, has been posted as ADGP, Crimes and Technical Services, in place of Harishekaran.
In Bengaluru, R Srinivas Gowda, Superintendent of Police, Ramanagara, has been transferred and posted as Deputy Commissioner of Police, City Crime Branch-1, replacing Srihari Babu BL.
Rohan Jagadeesh, who was SP, Gadag, has been transferred and posted as SP, Bengaluru South district (Ramanagara).
Dr Shivakumar, SP, Bengaluru Metropolitan Region Development Authority (excluding BDA and BMICAPA) Task Force, has been posted as SP, Karnataka Lokayukta, against a vacant post.
Padmini Sahoo, who was DCP (Administration), Bengaluru, has been transferred and posted as SP, Chikkaballapur, replacing Kushal Chouksey. Chouksey has been posted as DCP (Administration), Bengaluru.
Sahil Bagla, DCP, Traffic East Division, Bengaluru City, has been transferred and posted as SP, Koppal.
At the range level, IGP Amit Singh, who was heading the Western Range in Mangaluru, has been transferred and posted as IGP, Karnataka State Reserve Police, in the upgraded post.
R Chethan, who was awaiting posting, has been appointed DIG, Western Range, Mangaluru, replacing Amit Singh. The Western Range post has been downgraded to DIG rank.
Changes have also been made in the commissionerates of Hubballi-Dharwad and Belagavi.
DIG and Belagavi City Commissioner of Police Borase Bhushan Gulabrao has been transferred and posted as DIG and Commissioner of Police, Hubballi-Dharwad, replacing N Shashi Kumar.
Nikam Prakash Amrit, who was awaiting posting, has been appointed DIG and Commissioner of Police, Belagavi City, succeeding Bhushan Gulabrao.
Mithun HN, DCP (Law and Order), Mangaluru City, has been posted as SP, Gadag, replacing Rohan Jagadeesh.
Shiva Prakash Devaraju, who was awaiting posting, has been appointed SP, Anti-Narcotic Task Force, against a vacant post.
The notification, issued by the Department of Personnel and Administrative Reforms, said the transfers and postings would take effect immediately and remain in force until further orders.
