Kakinada: YSRC Stages Relay Fast Over DSC Issue

KAKINADA: Former minister and YSRC North Andhra regional coordinator Kurasala Kannababu, along with party leaders and workers, staged a relay hunger strike at Sarpavaram Junction on Thursday, demanding a CBI inquiry into the alleged irregularities in the DSC teacher recruitment process. Addressing the protest, Kannababu alleged that the government had failed to clear pending fee reimbursement dues, placing an additional financial burden on students and their parents. He claimed that educational institutions were pressuring parents to pay fees because of the delay. He also demanded that the government fulfil its pre-election promise of providing Rs 3,000 a month as unemployment assistance to jobless youth.
