Unemployed youth took out a rally to the collectorate raising slogans on increasing the number of posts in the Mega Police Notification. Following allegations that people from Shyam Institute instigated the protesters to agitate against the government, cops raided the premises this morning.
Police gathered information about those who participated in the protest and if they voluntarily came took part in it.
The chairman of Shyam Institute denied any connection, either direct or indirect, with yesterday's dharna.
Speaking to media, he said that the students staged a dharna demanding increasing the number of posts in the Mega Police notification. Around 10 policemen raided the hostel and the students were panicked. The police descended on the institute without any prior information, he said.
The I Town police registered cases against the chairman and 20 others of Shyam Institute.
