Kakinada: Due to the influence of a low-pressure system in the Bay of Bengal, the Uppada coast has turned turbulent and the sea is very rough. Waves are surging onto the Uppada Beach–Kakinada Road, washing away the protective stones placed along the roadside.
A portion of the Subbampeta road was breached by the sea, and seawater entered Mayapatnam, Suradapeta, and nearby areas. Vehicular movement has become difficult as large potholes have formed along the road, causing severe inconvenience to drivers.
