NALGONDA: Roads and buildings minister Komatireddy Venkat Reddy on Tuesday instructed the officials to complete the CC roads and drainage works, which have been taken up in Nalgonda municipality at a cost of ₹ 109 crore under the Special Development Fund (SDF), within three months.

He also reviewed the progress of Nalgonda town development works at the municipal office and asked the officials to maintain the quality in the execution of CC road and drainage works by inspecting them from time to time. “If funds are not sufficient to complete the works, officials should bring this to my notice. I will take the initiative to allocate the budget, but the development works should not be stopped in any way,” Komatireddy Venkat Reddy said.

Reminding that the execution of new overhead tanks for the purpose of supplying drinking water was taken up at the cost of ₹ 56.75 crore under the AMRUT scheme in Nalgonda, he directed the officials to complete their work by December this year.

The minister further announced that he will review the progress of development works every Tuesday and asked the municipal commissioner to clear the piled-up waste at the Biomining dumping yard in Chandanapally.

He asked the municipal authority to give top priority to collecting the wet and dry garbage separately from houses. He said that dust bins should be distributed to all residents in the town. The minister also inspected the Nalgonda municipal office after the review meeting.
