Kakinada:Jana Sena (JS) Veera Mahilas staged a protest outside the residence of Bojja Iswarya, who describes herself as an independent social activist, from Wednesday night until Thursday evening. The Veera Mahilas charged that Iswarya has made derogatory remarks against Jana Sena chief and Deputy Chief Minister K. Pawan Kalyan.

JS Veera Mahila leader Kadali Eswari warned that Iswarya's remarks could disturb law and order and demanded action against her.
Speaking on the matter, Jana Sena leader Nandamuru V.V. Vinod said that if Iswarya has any objections over the government's functioning or the conduct of political leaders, she is free to criticise them democratically. But Iswarya cannot make derogatory remarks against party leaders, Vinod contended.
On Thursday morning, JS Kakinada president Thota Sudhir, Kakinada Urban Development Authority chairman Talatam Satyanarayana and other leaders visited the protest site of Veera Mahilas.
According to Jana Sena leaders, the party's central committee directed that the protesters withdraw their agitation. Following this, the agitating JS activists dispersed.
In the interim, JS activists have lodged separate complaints against Iswarya at the Kakinada, Sarpavaram, Pithapuram, and Katrenikona police stations.
