Jogi Ramesh, Family File Bail Petition In Vijayawada Women’s Court

The family members of former Andhra Pradesh Minister and YSRCP leader Jogi Ramesh have filed a petition in the Vijayawada Women's Court on Wednesday seeking anticipatory bail.

Vijayawada: The family members of former Andhra Pradesh Minister and YSRCP leader Jogi Ramesh have filed a petition in the Vijayawada Women's Court on Wednesday seeking anticipatory bail in the dowry harassment and attempt to murder case filed against them by his daughter-in-law.

The Court, which accepted the petition for hearing, has instructed the Ibrahimpatnam Police to file a counter-affidavit.

The Ibrahimpatnam Police of the NTR Commissionerate registered a case against Jogi Ramesh and 10 members of his family on charges of dowry harassment, domestic violence and attempt to murder based on the complaint filed by his daughter-in-law Meghana recently.

In the complaint, Meghana stated that her husband and his family harassed her both mentally and physically since they got married. Ramesh's son Jogi Rajeev and Meghana were married on May 28, 2025.

Jogi Ramesh, his brother Ramu, sister Rama's family members, and 11 others, including Jogi Rajeev, Ramesh, Shakuntala, Rohit, Priyanka, Jogi Ramu, his two sons Rakesh, Pandu, Swami, Rama, and Sai, have been named as accused in this case.
