Jai Bhavani To Be Indrakeeladri Kanaka Durga Temple’s Call Sign
The shrine’s executive officer announced infrastructure improvements to ease congestion and improve pilgrim facilities atop Indrakeeladri hill

Vijayawada: In a move to enhance the overall pilgrim experience, Executive Officer V.K. Seena Naik of the Sri Durga Malleswara Swamy Temple atop the Indrakeeladri in Vijayawada had announced that the staff of the shrine would greet devotees with the devotional salutation "Jai Bhavani." He announced a series of infrastructure improvements to ease congestion for devotees.
While inspecting the temple premises on Thursday, the EO asked the temple staff to treat devotees with courtesy, patience, and respect at all times. He told security personnel and other staff to address pilgrims with words "Jai Bhavani." The greeting would reinforce the temple's spiritual atmosphere and create a more devotional environment for visitors.
During the inspection, Seena Naik found that the ban on carrying mobile phones into the temple is not being enforced strictly. Expressing strong displeasure, he made it clear to security staff that the prohibition of mobile phones inside the temple should be implemented 100 per cent.
The EO reviewed the facilities for devotees participating in various pujas and sevas. Observing that pilgrims often face difficulties in reaching the puja mandapams during peak hours, he ordered immediate measures to streamline movement.
As part of the new arrangement, devotees attending pujas will no longer have to pass through the main temple. Instead, a dedicated queue line will be created from the Lakshmi Ganapathi Temple through the Subrahmanya Swamy Temple, enabling direct access to the puja venues.
Seena Naik directed officials to construct a new ramp and widen the exit pathway to ensure smoother movement of devotees entering and leaving the temple. These changes are expected to reduce congestion and provide easier access to worshippers participating in archanas and other rituals.
Those who accompanied the EO included assistant executive officer Ramesh, executive engineer Rama, deputy executive engineer Ashok Kumar, and Sthanacharya Sivaprasad Sharma.
