Jagan Has No Legacy; Naidu Makes History: Sivanath
Sivanath said rapid progress in Amaravati had exposed Jagan’s “destructive politics”
VIJAYAWADA: Vijayawada MP Kesineni Sivanath on Friday launched a sharp attack on YSRC president and former chief minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy, asserting that people no longer trusted his statements as Andhra Pradesh was witnessing all-round development under Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu.
Addressing a media conference in Vijayawada, the MP said it was the previous YSRC government that stalled the Rayalaseema lift irrigation project by awarding contracts without environmental clearances and later securing court stays. He accused Jagan Mohan Reddy of making contradictory statements on the capital, recalling his shifting stances from a single capital to three capitals, Visakhapatnam, and now Vijayawada–Guntur.
Sivanath said rapid progress in Amaravati had exposed Jagan’s “destructive politics.” He highlighted balanced regional growth under the NDA coalition, including the revival of Bhogapuram Airport and the establishment of new industries across Rayalaseema and coastal Andhra.
The MP credited Naidu with building major cities, interlinking the Krishna and Godavari rivers, reducing power tariffs, and steering the state towards the vision of a “Golden Andhra Pradesh–2047,” while accusing Jagan of political irrelevance.
