The TTD has streamlined pilgrims' darshan at the Tirumala temple in the summer vacation. Now, pilgrims are able to complete having the darshan of Lord Venkateswara at Tirumala within 7-8 hours without the need to wait for hours in the compartments. This has become possible as the TTD has cancelled darshans for VIP recommended pilgrims. In addition, the pilgrim queue lines are being continuously monitored at the command control centre which has given positive results.
The TTD officials have taken steps to ensure that darshan time does not exceed 8 hours. The AI-based Integrated Command Control Centre (ICCC) is continuously monitoring Mada streets and queue complexes to know the approximate number of pilgrims at Tirumala.
Under continuous surveillance, slotted Sarvadarshanam is getting completed in less than 3 hours, Rs 300 special darshan within 2.5 hours. Last Saturday, more than 1 lakh pilgrims visited Tirumala but the officials ensured that the darshan timing did not go beyond 13 hours.
By completely stalling darshans related to recommendation letters from VIPs and allowing only protocol darshans, the TTD is able to save 2 hours, increasing the speed of movement in the queue lines. On normal days, the officials used to facilitate darshan to an average of 70,000 pilgrims but with the latest checks, over 90,000 pilgrims are able to have the darshan of Lord Venkateswara at Tirumala.
On Fridays, only 65,000 pilgrims used to have darshan but now, over 71,000 are able to have darshan.
