Kurnool:Inflows into the Srisailam reservoir have dropped significantly, with only 76,800 cusecs currently being received from the upper catchment areas. Meanwhile, officials are releasing 1.17 lakh cusecs downstream to manage water levels.

The reservoir’s current storage stands at 205 TMC feet, against its full capacity of 215 TMC feet. Of the total outflow, 20,000 cusecs are being released through the Pothireddypadu head regulator, 35,315 cusecs through the left bank power station, and 33,047 cusecs through the right bank power station. Additionally, 27,249 cusecs are being discharged to Nagarjunasagar by lifting one spillway gate.
