Kakinada:With the nomination phase for the local body elections beginning, many leaders of various parties are switching from one political party to another along with their followers.

In Tuni municipality, Telugu Desam’s Malla Ganesh, along with his wife Meenakshi, joined Jana sena in the presence of the constituency in-charge Yanamala Krishnudu. When Krishnudu had been in TD, Ganesh remained one of his strong followers.

Soon after he joined the Jana Sena, Krishnudu, in the presence of Kakinada MP T. Uday Srinivas, announced that Meenakshi will be the JS candidate for Tuni municipality chairperson’s post.

In Kotananduru mandal, 300 YSRC leaders and cadres joined the Jana Sena in presence of the Kakinada and Krishnudu. The YSR Congress leaders P. Raja Rao, S.K. Meera, and Dara Surya Chandra said that attracted by the principles of Pawan Kalyan, they have decided to join the JS.

Many leaders from SC and BC communities in Gudala village joined the TD in the presence of Rajya Sabha member Sana Satish Babu and Amalapuram MLA Ayithabathula Ananda Rao. Satish Babu said people from various sections of society are joining the TD in large numbers, drawn by the welfare-oriented governance and rapid development being spearheaded by Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu.

Sana Satish called upon newcomers to work towards ensuring 100 per cent win of Telugu Desam and alliance party candidates in the region.
