Home Minister Lays Foundation Stone For New Fire Station In Yendada

Visakhapatnam: Home minister Vangalapudi Anitha laid the foundation stone for a new fire station at Yendada in Visakhapatnam district, along with Bheemli MLA Ganta Srinivasa Rao.
Speaking at the ceremony, the Home Minister announced that the fire station will be constructed at an estimated cost of ₹2.25 crore, funded through the 15th Finance Commission allocation.
She emphasised the government’s commitment to expediting the project so that the facility becomes operational at the earliest, providing fire and emergency services to residents of Yendada and surrounding areas.
On the occasion, Anitha also addressed recent allegations regarding disability pensions, dismissing claims that such benefits were being withdrawn.
“Some people are making baseless allegations about pensions for the disabled and are spreading such misinformation through media outlets,” the minister said.
She assured that the government remains committed to supporting eligible disabled citizens. “We are definitely taking responsibility for refuting these allegations. Pensions for the eligible disabled will not be withdrawn under any circumstances,” she clarified.
