Home Minister Assures Support to Gayatri’s Parents
Home Minister Anitha assures coordination with Uttarakhand police for a thorough investigation.
Visakhapatnam: The parents of Parupudi Radha Gayatri, who died under suspicious circumstances at a homestay on the Mussoorie-Dhanaulti Road on June 15 while on vacation with her husband, Sricharan Somayajula, met Home Minister Vangalapudi Anitha in Visakhapatnam on Monday, seeking the Andhra Pradesh government’s assistance in the investigation.
Gayatri’s parents, P. Sudhakar and Satyavati, requested the minister’s intervention in coordinating with the investigating officer of the Mussoorie police to ensure a thorough probe into their daughter’s death.
Responding to the request, Anitha directed Visakhapatnam city police to maintain proper coordination and communication with the authorities in Uttarakhand.
The minister also assured the family of the state government’s support and said an official communication would be sent to expedite the post-mortem report and other investigation procedures.
Anitha said the NDA government would stand by Gayatri’s family and extend all necessary assistance in coordinating with the Uttarakhand home department and the investigating authorities.
