HM Anitha Releases AP Police Constable Recruitment Results

 Vijayawada: Home Minister Vangalapudi Anitha released the final results of the police constable recruitment here on Friday.

Gandi Nanaji from Visakhapatnam topped the examination with 168 marks, followed by G Ramya Madhuri from Vizianagaram with 159 marks. Merugu Achyuta Rao from Rajahmundry secured the third position with 144.5 marks.

The complete list of selected candidates and the cut-off marks for various categories are available on the official website www.slprb.ap.gov.in.

The release was done in the presence of DGP Harish Gupta, police recruitment board chairman RK Meena, additional DGP Madhusudana Reddy and other senior police officials.

Anitha clarified that these results pertained to the notification issued in 2022. A total of 6100 constable positions were advertised, attracting 5,30,000 applications. Of these, around 4,59,000 candidates participated in the selection process. Some 33,921 of them qualified for the final round.

The recruitment included 3,580 civil police constables (both men and women) and 2,520 APSP constables (men). Among the selected, 1,063 are women.

The home minister said 5,03,486 candidates had applied online. Of them, 4,59,182 appeared for the preliminary written test. Some 95,208 candidates qualified for the physical efficiency tests (PET) conducted across 13 centres.

Some 38,914 candidates qualified for the final written test. In the final results released on July 10, 33,921 candidates were declared eligible.

The home minister said training for the 6,100 selected candidates would commence in the first week of September. Another recruitment notification would be issued soon to fill the remaining vacancies in the department, she said.

Gupta said 95 acres of land have been acquired for the state police academy. Construction would begin once the land survey is completed. The government has also allotted land for the Greyhounds unit, he added.
