High Court for Machinery, AI Usage for Counting of Hundi Collections at TTD’s Parakamani
The court observed it would be inappropriate to screen the persons who come for counting of Hundi collections by keeping them on their undergarments.
Vijayawada:The Andhra Pradesh High Court has called for usage of machinery and AI in counting of offerings in the Hundi at Parakamani in Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD).
A single judge bench headed by Justice G. Ramakrishna Prasad heard the petition here on Tuesday and laid stress for minimising the manual counting of Hundis and felt the need to introduce reforms in the counting procedure to make it foolproof and observed that if the offerings presented by the devotees were stolen, it would hurt their sentiments.
The court observed it would be inappropriate to screen the persons who come for counting of Hundi collections by keeping them on their undergarments.
The court called for stepping up security at the counting of Hundi collections.
The court asked for suggestions from both the parties and posted the next hearing to December 19.
