VIJAYAWADA: The Guntur Municipal Corporation (GMC) has launched dedicated helpline numbers and announced a Special Campaign Day to assist voters with the ongoing Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls.

GMC commissioner and electoral registration officer (ERO) for Guntur East, K. Mayur Ashok, said the initiative is aimed at ensuring a transparent and error-free electoral roll. Voters in Guntur East can contact 0863-2224202, while those in Guntur West can call 0863-2345106 between 10 a.m. and 6 p.m. for information, clarifications and grievance redressal related to the revision process.

Appealing for public cooperation, the commissioner said booth level officers (BLOs) are visiting every household to distribute enumeration forms. Voters have been advised to verify their personal details, fill in the forms accurately and return them promptly to the BLOs. The forms will be digitised immediately after collection.

A special campaign day will be held on June 28 across all polling stations in the Guntur East and Guntur West Assembly constituencies. BLOs will be available from 10 am to 5 pm at 256 polling stations in Guntur East and 291 in Guntur West to assist voters and clarify doubts regarding the SIR process.

The commissioner directed supervisory officials to ensure the presence of BLOs at polling stations and instructed Assistant Electoral Registration Officers (AEROs) to closely monitor the arrangements.
