Vijayawada: An internal meeting of the Jana Sena Party turned chaotic on Friday after sharp exchanges broke out between party leaders from the Vijayawada East constituency.

According to sources, the altercation occurred in the presence of Jana Sena state general secretary Ram Talluri when local leader Ravi Soujanya voiced her displeasure over lack of recognition to her within the party.

Her remarks drew strong objections from fellow party leaders, triggering a verbal duel. Some backbenchers accused Soujanya of collecting money in the party’s name, allegations she strongly denied.

Hitting back, she demanded that those making accusations come forward and speak openly, instead of making baseless charges.

The exchanges quickly escalated, leading to heated arguments, leading to disorder.

As tempers flared up, NTR district Jana Sena president Samineni Uday Bhanu, intervened and pacified the warring sides. He counselled restraint, urged party leaders to resolve differences amicably, and restored order. Subsequently, the meeting concluded without any further incident.
